Catchafire is thrilled to announce the addition of Daniel O. Ash to Catchafire’s Board of Directors. Daniel is the President of The Field Foundation and former Associate Vice President of Community Impact at The Chicago Community Trust. Daniel’s deep understanding of the structural disparities plaguing our nonprofit communities makes him uniquely qualified to advance Catchafire’s mission of strengthening the nonprofit ecosystem in order to support disadvantaged populations.

Daniel comes to Catchafire with an expansive history in the public and philanthropic sectors, with a focus on strengthening and advancing equity in local and underrepresented communities. Prior to his role at The Chicago Community Trust, Daniel served at Chicago Public Media, Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, the Chicago Department of Public Health, and the Center for Family Policy and Practice. As a long-time supporter of Catchafire and official partner to us since 2019, through his role at The Chicago Community Trust, Daniel is a notable addition to Catchafire’s Board.
