What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website

Rise Together is launching a new product line that makes podcasts, videos, webinars and documents readily available to families working to navigate the college application process. We have a wordpress driven website but are working to establish four working pages to the site that categorize our new and expanding content. I am ready to work immediately and for as long as needed to get this effort launched. It is a high priority for Rise Together and we would appreciate any and all help.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an existing site and page content., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a person dedicated to this project., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to add a new product line to our nonprofit efforts.

This project is critical to our efforts because delivering content is the entire effort. We are ready to post a wealth of information for families to access regardless of their ability to pay for college/financial aid/scholarship application process.

  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site

Our mission

Rise Together's mission is to counter the ever growing achievement gap by provide 6th-12th grade first-generation, low income students with equal access to educational resources including innovative youth programming, weekly mentorship, academic support and intensive college/financial aid counseling. Rise Together works within city school systems to provide a responsive, collaborative partnership that dramatically extends the reach of educators during in person and COVID-19 remote learning. Well trained and supervised diverse college mentors are the face of Rise Together and are uniquely positioned to guide emerging learners toward academic success and emotional wellness.

Support urban low income students discover their talents and confidence to attend the post secondary school of their choice and live their dream.
